ბეტელი
ბეტელი, საღეჭი პილპილი (Piper-betle) — მცირე ზომის მცოცავი ბუჩქი პილპილისებრთა ოჯახისა. ველურად იზრდება ტროპიკულ აზიაში, სადაც მისი ცხარე და სურნელოვანი ფოთლის ნარევი პალმა ფუფალას თესლთან და მცირე რაოდენობის კირთან ერთად იხმარება საღეჭად.
ბეტელს ჩვეულებრივ ამ ნარევსაც ეძახიან. იწვევს ნერვული სისტემის აგზნებას. ბეტელი პირის ღრუს, ენას, ღრძილებსა და უხვად გამოყოფილ ნერწყვს წითლად ღებავს, კბილებს აშავებს.
