უილიამ ჰოლმან ჰანტი
უილიამ ჰოლმან ჰანტი (დ. 2 აპრილი, 1827 — გ. 7 სექტემბერი, 1910) — ინგლისელი მხატვარი და პრერეფაელიტების საძმოს ერთ-ერთი დამფუძნებელი. მისი ნახატები გამოირჩეოდა დეტალებისადმი ყურადღებით, ცოცხალი ფერებითა და რთული სიმბოლიზმით. ამ მახასიათებლების შთაგონების წყარო მხატვრისთვის იყო ჯონ რესკინისა და თომას კარლაილის ტექსტები, რომელთა მიხედვითაც სამყარო უნდა წავიკითხოთ, როგორც ვიზუალური ნიშნების სისტემა. ჰანტისთვის ხელოვანის მოვალეობას წარმოადგენდა ნიშანსა და ფაქტს შორის შესაბამისობის დამყარება. პრერაფაელიტების საძმოს წარმომადგენლებს შორის ჰანტი ყველაზე ერთგულად ინარჩუნებდა მის იდეალებს მთელი თავისი კარიერის განმავლობაში. იგი ყოველთვის ცდილობდა თავისი ნამუშევრების პოპულარობისა და საჯარო ხილვადობის მაქსიმიზაციას.[1]
