მემფისი (ინგლ. Memphis) — ქალაქი აშშ-ში, ტენესის შტატში, ამერიკის შეერთებული შტატების სამხრეთ–აღმოსავლეთში, მდინარე მისისიპის ნაპირზე, 652,236 მცხოვრებით (2017).^[1]

დაარსდა 1819 წელს. სამოქალაქო ომში 1861 წელს ის კონფედერატების ხელში აღმოჩნდა, 1862 წლის 6 ივნისის ბრძოლის შემდეგ ის დაიბრუნეს უნიონისტებმა. ქალაქი ვითარდებოდა და იზრდებოდა, მაგრამ ყვითელი ცხელების სამმა ეპიდემიამ 1873-1879 წლებში მოსახლეობის დიდი ნაწილი შეიწირა, მრავალმაც დატოვა ქალაქი და მემფისი დაცარიელდა. მხოლოდ მეცხრამეტე საუკუნის მიწურულს აღიდგინა თავისი მნიშვნელობა ქალაქმა. მემფისის განვითარებაში განსაკუთრებით დიდი როლი შეასრულა მემფისელმა პოლიტიკოსმა ედვარდ კრამპმა, რომელიც 1910 –1954 იყო ქალაქის მრავლგზის არჩეული მერი და ასევე კონგრესმენი ტენესიდან. მემფისის ინფრასტრუქტურის შექმნაში მისი წვლილი განუზომელია. ამ ქალაქში 1968 წლის 4 აპრილს მარტინ ლუთერ კინგი მოკლეს. მემფისი, ისევე როგორც ტენესის შტატის მეორე უმნიშვნელოვანესი ქალაქი ნეშვილი, ამერიკული მუსიკის ცენტრად და აკვნად შეიძლება ჩაითვალოს.
