თეკლე ბატონიშვილი (დ. 1776, ქართლ-კახეთის სამეფო — გ. 11 მარტი, 1846, თბილისი, რუსეთის იმპერია) — ქართველი პოეტი, ერეკლე II-ის ასული. გათხოვილი იყო ვახტანგ ორბელიანზე. პოეტების ვახტანგ და ალექსანდრე ორბელიანების დედა.
ბიოგრაფია
დაიბადა 1776 წელს ქართლ-კახეთის სამეფოს მეფის ერეკლე II-ისა და მისი მესამე მეუღლის დარეჯან დადიანის ოჯახში. თავისი მებრძოლი ხასიათის გამო მას მამამისი „თეკლე-ბიჭს“ ეძახდა. 1800 წლის 7 სექტემბერს ცოლად გაჰყვა თავად ვახტანგ ორბელიანს, საგარეჯოს მოურავს. ქორწინების შედეგად დაიბადა ოთხი ბიჭი ალექსანდრე (1801-1869 წწ.), ნიკოლოზი (1803 წ.), დიმიტრი (1806-1882 წწ.) და ვახტანგი (1812-1890 წწ.)[1]
ქართლ-კახეთის ბაგრატიონთა ოჯახის სხვა წევრებისაგან განსხვავებით, რუსეთის იმპერიის მიერ სამეფოს ანექსიის შემდეგ იგი არ გადაუსახლებიათ. მას მიენიჭა წმინდა ეკატერინეს ორდენის მცირე ჯვარი. მისი ქმარი მსახურობდა რუსეთის არმიაში და მოკლეს კახეთის 1812 წლის აჯანყების დროს. თეკლე, ისევე როგორც მისი დები მარიამი და ქეთევანი, იყო პოეტი. თეკლე ბატონიშვილის ლექსებში გამოხატულია ძველი დიდების დაკარგვით გამოწვეული სევდა. პოეტი უჩივის უბედობას და პატიმრის მძიმე ხვედრს.
1832 წელს თეკლეს სახლი თბილისში იქცა იმ ქართველი თავადებისა და ინტელიგენციის თავშეყრის ადგილად, რომლებიც უკმაყოფილოები იყვნენ რუსული მმართველობით. დაგეგმილი აჯანყება, რომელიც მიზნად ისახავდა დამოუკიდებელი ქართული სამეფოს აღდგენას, გამჟღავნდა ღალატის გამო და შეთქმულები პოლიციამ დააპატიმრა[2]. 1832 შეთქმულებაში მონაწილეობისათვის გადაასახლეს ქალაქ კალუგაში, სადაც ცხოვრობდა 1834 წლის 11 ოქტომბრიდან 1835 წლის 6 მაისამდე. ამის შემდეგ მას ნება დართეს დაბრუნებულიყო თბილისში, სადაც ცხოვრობდა გარდაცვალებამდე.
გარდაიცვალა 1846 წლის 11 მარტს. დაკრძალულია სვეტიცხოველში, მცხეთაში.
