წმინდა ძროხა

აგჰნია, წმინდა ძროხა (სანსკ. अघ्न्य aghnya „არა-დასაკლავი“) — ცნება ინდუიზმში, ძროხის კულტი, მისი ხელშეუხებლობა.

ისევე, როგორც ბევრ უძველეს კულტურაში, ინდოეთში ოდითგანვე ძროხა მარჩენალი ცხოველის სტატუსით სარგებლობდა. მისი ყოლა რძის, რძის ნაწარმისა და საწვავის (ნეხვის) დაუშრობელ წყაროს ნიშნავდა. ამიტომ ძროხის მოკვლა მთელი ოჯახის გაღატაკებისა და საზრდო წყაროს დაკარგვის თანაბარი იყო.

ძროხის თაყვანისცემა განსაკუთრებით ღვთაება კრიშნასთანაა დაკავშირებული, რომელსაც ორი ძლიერ გავრცელებული მეტსახელი აქვს — გოვინდა და გოპალა (ორივე „ძროხების მწყემსს“ ნიშნავს).
